Archie's Picks: Federer-Tsonga

Roger Federer is chasing his seventh Wimbledon title, but Archie thinks Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will end the chase.

===
Being a rescue dog, Archie has always had a thing for the underdog. That explains his mindset as he made his pick for the Federer-Tsonga Wimbledon quarterfinal. I tried to talk some sense into him, but he wouldn't hear me out.

Without any further ado, here's the pick.

Archie's Pick: Tsonga
Why: Because he smiles a lot when he plays, just like me.

My Pick: Federer
Why: Well, duh. Federer did lose to Tsonga once upon a time in Montreal, when he fell asleep at the wheel and blew a 5-1 lead in the third set vs. Jo-Wilfried. But this is Wimbledon, and Federer is playing his best tennis since the last time he won Wimbledon in 2009.

True, Tsonga has gone two matches without being broken, and, true, Federer's return game is probably the thing that can give him the most trouble in matches like this. Still, the calculated and cunning Fed will more than likely come out with the perfect game plan to defuse Tsonga's power assault, and keep the big-hitting Frenchman out of his comfort zone.

Federer has reached the Wimbledon Final in 8 of the last 9 years, while Tsonga is bidding to reach the Wimbledon semis for the first time, and even though Tsonga has won 8 of his previous 20 matches against top 3 players, Federer should prove to be too strong tomorrow.
