Archie's Picks: Nadal-Fish

Rafa's got a bad foot, but Archie knows it takes more than that to stop a bad man like him.

===
Okay, Archie's back to help you betting fools on the Wimbledon men's quarters. He's been watching non-stop television coverage of the fortnight, so he's pretty confident that he can make you guys some money if you listen up. So, without any further ado, here is Archie's pick for the Nadal-Fish quarterfinal.

Archies Pick: Nadal
Why: Do you really have to ask why?

My pick: Nadal
Why: Lost in all the commotion about Rafa's ailing left foot is the fact that Nadal has been absolutely punishing the ball throughout the fortnight. He's got an 18 match winning streak at Wimbledon and he passed a very stern test from Juan Martin del Potro with flying colors in the 4th round. As great as Mardy Fish is playing -- and he is playing awesome (hasn't been broken since round 2) -- he's going to have to play exponentially better, and for a longer period of time, to get by Nadal.

Even though Fish did win the first set of his 2008 US Open quarterfinal vs. Nadal, he's lost all 5 meetings vs. the 10-time Grand Slam champion and lost EVERY OTHER SET.

It's just too big of a mountain to climb for the American, foot or no foot.
